Our Story

Our Story

Nate Thompson and Alex Schwartz are the co-founders of The Disrupted Workforce (TDW). They launched TDW during the pandemic to help leaders and professionals prepare, navigate, and thrive through the most digital and disrupted workforce in human history.

But their passion for The Future Of Work began almost seven years prior when Nate was building the first Future of Work programs in Asset Management, and Alex was selling Digital Transformation projects in consulting.

Their compelling WHY is simple. “We lived through a global pandemic running the largest remote and hybrid work experiment in the history of humanity. The AI Era has begun; more than 300 million jobs will be impacted, and over a billion people must be upskilled by 2030. Work, identity, purpose, and what it means to be human are rapidly changing for everyone. Yet, many leaders and professionals aren’t ready, and most companies don’t have a way to deliver on this need. We can’t go back to the old playbook. It’s time to Explore, Expand, and Evolve!”

They knew this challenge was far bigger than them or their company. So they started with two powerful questions: “Everyone needs these insights. How might we help leaders and professionals at scale? What if we start a free conversation with the Top Voices In The Future of Work and invite everyone?” Those beautiful questions led to the creation of their podcast (available on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, and all platforms), now globally ranked in the top 3% of over 3 million podcasts.

As keynote speakers, Nate and Alex simplify these complex and disruptive trends through their inspiring stories, data-driven insights, practical frameworks, and obstinate optimism that this is the best chance in our lifetime to make work better for everyone! They take the fear out of the room, ask powerful questions, and invite their audiences to begin a new journey, embrace a Future of Work Mindset, discover the next best version of themselves, and help others along the way.

Prior to TDW, he served as a Director of growth strategy and consultant at Publicis Sapient, where he drove transformative solutions that generated an astounding $250 million in value across AI, data, digital marketing, technology, and innovation solutions for a roster of Fortune 500 juggernauts. Notable clients in his portfolio include Marriott, Ralph Lauren, Nestlé, AB-InBev, American Eagle, Comcast, Lowe's, and Barclays.

Yet, it was within the corridors of these corporate giants that Alex recognized a profound gap in the narrative of automation and digital transformation—the neglect of the human experience and cultural impact. This revelation ignited a passionate mission within him: to help individuals worldwide prepare, navigate, and not merely survive but thrive in the unfolding Future of Work. He knew that these disruptors would reshape the lives of billions, and he made it his life's purpose to ensure that no one would be left behind.

Beyond his accomplishments in the corporate realm, Alex is a dynamic presence on the stage as a frequent speaker, insightful moderator, and thought-provoking podcaster. His passion lies in exploring and nurturing the human experience, intelligence, and empathy in our increasingly digital world.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Alex is an unwavering advocate for personal transformation. He actively leads transformative men's work programs, guiding individuals on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Moreover, he is a dedicated family man, finding joy in being the father of an endlessly energetic 8-year-old boy and the proud dog-father to two magnificent pets.
